SAN, short for Scientifically Advanced Nutrition, was founded in 1996 by Matthias Boldt, who worked as a quality control engineer by day and trained in the evening; before starting the brand he had written for Ironman and Muscle Media 2000. Its history includes V12 Turbo in 2002, Tight in 2003 and the vegan protein Rawfusion in 2008. The brand states that its products are made in GMP-certified facilities and that its key formulas are HPLC-tested.
